Why

My work is driven by a compulsion to visually explore themes around our relationship with nature, and the ways in which individual experience shapes our perception.

Blending realism and symbolism to imply meaning beyond the immediately obvious, I aim to celebrate our relationship with the natural world and reflect upon how it defines us. Highlighting the transient nature of all emotions and states, to say something resonant about nature and the ephemeral nature of existence.

For me creativity is fundamental, the importance of art lies in how it reflects something internal. The images we choose to surround ourselves with make a deeply personal statement, so I’m always overwhelmed when someone finds that connection with my work.
