Welcome to www.andrewmortimer.co.uk. By completing a purchase or placing an order through our checkout page, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service.
1. General Conditions & Artwork Characteristics
Handcrafted Nature: Original oil paintings, charcoal drawings, and hand-gilded metal leaf pieces (gold/silver leaf on wood or aluminium) possess unique visual and reflective qualities. Colors and metallic reflections may vary slightly in person compared to screen representations.
Framing: Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the listing or agreed upon during a custom commission, all original artworks and prints are sold unmounted and unframed.
2. Pricing & Payment
All prices listed on the website are in GBP (£).
Full payment is required at checkout before orders are dispatched.
For bespoke commissions, terms (including deposits or staged payments) will be specified in the individual commission agreement prior to commencement.
3. Shipping & Delivery
Stated prices include packaging and delivery unless noted otherwise at checkout.
Packaging Formats:
Standard prints are shipped rolled in protective tubes.
Gilded prints (backed with foam board) and original artworks are packaged flat or in protective boxes.
Estimated delivery times will be provided upon dispatch. We are not liable for transit delays caused by customs or third-party courier services.
4. Custom Commissions & Non-Refundable Items
Custom & Bespoke Commissions: Due to the personalized nature of bespoke artwork, custom portrait or size commissions are non-refundable once work has commenced.
5. Returns & Cancellations (Standard Items)
You have the right under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations to cancel or return non-customized stock artwork or standard prints within 14 days of receipt.
Returned items must be returned in their original condition and original packaging. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrives damaged.
In the event of transit damage, please notify us within 48 hours with photographic evidence so we can arrange a replacement or refund.
6. Copyright & Intellectual Property
The sale of original artwork or prints does not transfer intellectual property or reproduction rights to the buyer.
All visual content, artwork imagery, and digital assets remain the exclusive intellectual property of Andrew Mortimer. Artwork may not be copied, reproduced, or commercially distributed without prior written consent.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
