I created a small series of drawings, taking reference from gothic sculptures I found inspiring, placing them in new surroundings to create a new narrative.
This figure represents the profound weight of self-reliance during a season of struggle. The vessel she holds becomes a metaphor for the internal reservoir we all must carry—the collection of our experiences and our resolve. It is a study of the moment just before one finds the strength to stand back up.
