I created a small series of drawings, taking reference from gothic sculptures I found inspiring, placing them in new surroundings to create a new narrative.
The figure, cloaked and bowed, initially projects a sense of isolation. Yet, the halo catches a light that defies the surrounding shadows. This isn't a loud, triumphant hope, it represents resilience and the strength found within, when the path ahead is unclear.
